Biblioteca Pública de San Miguel de Allende

The public library provides donations of used children's books in English and Spanish several times a year. These books help us grow the libraries in each of our community centers.

Computadoras Pro Jóvenes

CPJ has provided both the La Palma and Jalpa community centers with many computers and educational software programs over the years. This partnership allows us to teach computer skills and internet research skills in our after-school programs.

Jóvenes Adelante provides scholarships for outstanding high school students to attend college or university. Rural Ed works with Jóvenes to recommend our high school graduates to their program.

Libros Para Todos

For the past two years, Rural Ed has participated in LPT's campaign to promote a lifelong love of reading in children. Each year, the secundaria kids enjoy reading a new book and meeting the author at an event in the center of San Miguel.

St. Paul's Church

The connection between Rural Ed and St. Paul's Anglican Church starts with people who care and reach out to support this educational program as individuals. Private individuals help the program with gifts of time and talent, including volunteer drivers for the program, people who allow interns to stay in their homes, members of the board, and special projects coordinators. St. Paul's members have been heavily involved with the Rural Ed since it began and continue to assist in various ways to help this important endeavor that supports children in the campo.

100 Women Who Care

In 2014, Rural Ed was the beneficiary of a 100 Women Who Care award. The $75,000 MXN donation has helped fund the construction of the new community center in Don Diego.
